Old Hickory Promotes Thomas Walker to Vice President of Finance and Administration

Shelbyville, Ind. - Tom Walker has been promoted to VP of Finance and Administration at Old Hickory Furniture Company, an Indiana based manufacturer of rustic furniture, lighting, kitchen & bath cabinets and accessories.

Walker has been with Old Hickory since 2002, holding various management positions, most recently as Director of Finance and Administration. He reports to President Rocco Liott.

Old Hickory Furniture, recognized as the leading manufacturer of rustic furniture in the United States, was founded in Martinsville, IN in 1899, and today its headquarters and primary manufacturing plant is in Shelbyville, IN. Old Hickory Furniture Company at the 2006 Western Design Conference in Cody, WY

Bob Morrison (Vice President of Sales & Marketing) and author Ralph Kylloe were speakers at the 2006 Western Design Conference in Cody, WY, September 20-23, 2006. The Western Design Conference is the world’s preeminent exhibition of Western furniture, fashion and accessories. Their presentation at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center was entitled “Old Hickory Furniture and Western Design”. They covered the past, present and future role of Old Hickory in Western Design trends. The lecture corresponds with the release of Kylloe’s newest book entitled “Hickory Furniture”. Old Hickory also set up a small display of furniture at the Victor J. Riley exhibit center. Old Hickory designers Doug Temple and Ryan Crosslin and former Old Hickory designer Chip Kalleen greeted visitors at the booth, while Ralph Kylloe did book signings. Old Hickory participates each year in the WDC as a co-sponsor (along with Diana Beattie) of the Historical Craftsmanship award. Find out more about the WDC at:

Robert De Niro requests Old Hickory for his new movie

The Good Shepherd is a movie based on the history of over 40 years in the CIA told through the eyes of Edward Wilson, one of it's founding officers. Starring: Matt Damon, Robert De Niro, Angelina Jolie, Alec Baldwin, William Hurt, Timothy Hutton and Joe Pesci. The Good Shepherd is due to be released sometime in 2006.
