In 2020, Old Hickory Furniture was given the opportunity to build furniture and lighting for a private hunt and fish club located outside of Dallas, Texas. The designer on the project, Jason Lenox from Anteks Home Furnishings, worked with our company to create an elegant, yet rustic oasis. To achieve this look, each Old Hickory piece was done in Tahoe Bark texture with a rust-colored finish. This project involved custom lighting and classic product lines such as the Old Timber Trestle Table, the Two Hoop Chair, the Appalachian Trail End Table, the 608 Dining Chairs and the Captain Chair. A combination of rawhide and handcrafted mica shades bring warmth and light into the spacious main room. While the covered porch furniture, upholstered in Sunbrella fabric, bring a pop of color to the outdoors. Some of our personal favorites from this project are the Captain Chair and the 32K Two Hoop Chair. The subtle green accents from the handwoven Diamond Duracane on the 32K and the velvet pillow on the Captain chair make it difficult to differentiate between the space and the wilderness that surrounds it. One of the other highlights from this club is the 10-foot Old Timber Trestle Table surrounded by the 608 Dining Chairs that showcase a breathtaking view of the property through floor to ceiling glass windows. The Old Timber table is made using reclaimed barnwood, which not only helps to curb deforestation, but also brings character into a space because of its natural divots and varied color that come from age.
